Rust Wine. Write a review a photo. Very good. Tracey C Victoria, Canada 50 contributions. We went to Black Sage Bistro for lunch, looked like they had an interesting menu. A large tent is set up in the parking lot with tables and raised areas.
The wait staff passed us and said, I'll be right with you, then she served drinks, said it again, then she served some food and said she'd be right with us again, then she took a food order and placed the order and then asked us if we wanted a table. She said she didn't have a table in the tent area but we could go sit on the small deck beside the building. The couple behind us didn't have a reservation and they were offered a table under the tent. Perhaps the waitstaff was flustered as it was busy but we though this curious. Then after leaving us for 10 minutes, she went and took the order of the couple who had been behind us.
Perhaps efficient for her, but we were really hungry and tired of being ignored up on the small deck.
See ya later - see ya later ranch patio restaurant
Never did try their food Shane J Vancouver, Canada 6 contributions. Black Sage Bistro. On the night that we visited there was a freak wind storm, and so our dining experience was very brief, but we still got to quickly try everything that we ordered, and it just wasn't good at all. The butter chicken lacked flavour, and the pakoras were terrible. We were just so disappointed in the overall experience, and surprised that we received no discount, despite not being able to take our time to eat and enjoy the view of the winery because of the weather.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this place, and making a reservation at one of the other phenomenal restaurants in the Oliver area. Alberta02 Fort McMurray, Canada 17 contributions. Amazing winery. Where does one start with a review of this winery!
The winery has a beautiful tasting room and accommodates a large group very well. Has a really cool outdoor space with patio heaters and great views. The owners really makes this winery, very outgoing and will make themselves available to discuss the history of their vineyard! This is the must stop winery in the area!!!
Lovely tasting room, good wine. Actually enjoyed the whites here better than their reds. We like big, bold reds, and the ones here didn't live up to that. The server was wonderful Black Sage bistro.
Farmers markets and road side stands are filled with baskets overflowing with fruits and vegetables and then, then, there is the wine. helping spread the word about live music in kelowna, bc since
We love Indian food and were excited to return tonight to experience a new Osoyoos bistro after enjoying Desert Hills wine tastings earlier in the week. Unfortunately disappointed in their curry flavour, a grocery store brand offers more flavour. The kitchen is separate from the small restaurant and not a great feeling watching your dish cross the parking lot in the hands of your server. Leaving after sun set was scary as no parking lot lighting.
Very unsafe. Special service. At this winery I asked a question about the grapes. It was a surprise when a young employee offered to take us out into the vineyard, and let us sample several types of grape and he took our photos with them.
This type of personal service makes one want to return to the same winery again. Written 29 September Flyer 1 contribution. Winery visit. It was extremely dissapointing to go to the vineyard 10mins before it closed and the door was locked!
Horrible customer service as vineyards in the neighborhood were open well passed there published time. Written 25 September Black Sage Bistro at Desert Hills.
A must stop, one of the best pizza's in the valley. Steakhouse pizza was outstanding, tons of toppings and cheese, mushrooms, caramelized onion, roasted peppers, asparagus and blue cheese, only quibble the blue cheese was hardly noticeable.
